Phew...GE 2011!!! Monday, May 9, 2011 @ 12:53 AM
I am glad to announce that finally... I HAVE WOKE UP FROM A DREAM CALLED "PAP IS VERY GOOD"!! In the last 2 or 3 weeks I felt more like a Singaporean than I could ever be. And mind you, I didn't even attend any rallies. It was only when I've been exposed to yahoo news, facebook and youtube did I know that Social studies in our secondary school as we knew it was crap! Yes I know that politics to begin with is dirty and unfair, but the "system" which I've previously held with high regard, is nothing but highly controlled information that tries to groom Singaporeans into materialistic, soul-less workers who would work their asses off to buy branded stuff. Everything that puts the ruling party in a bad light has been moderated, censored, chopped off. Nothing, no recognition at all, has been given to the hardworking Mr Low Thia Khiang and Mr Chiam See Tong. Instead, when I heard of the atrocities done against them and the unfairness of it all, coupled with some nasty remarks from the ruling party belitting the opposition and our fellow Singaporeans, I felt like I've lost almost all respect for our great pappy. I feel a little disgusted at myself actually, for living so selfishly when they're so many concerned Singaporeans fighting out for our future, and even though it's like David vs Goliath, they fought on so that we have a true voice that speaks up for us in the parliament, slaps the driver when he thinks he's going in the right direction but actually wrong, and reminds us once again what it is like to feel like a Singaporean. Thank you to all opposition, and the people who voted for opposition. Pappy only have themselves to blame for George Yeo's stepping down. Anyway as you all know already... ![]() Mr Chiam See Tong is my hero. I don't think I've ever idolised a Singaporean so much before. Not even my mum (whoops), and today's mothers' day!! He really fights for us Singaporeans, though most of us are more concerned what's for dinner, he speaks up for us, even though he's been bullied and humiliated by our dear pappy in the parliament. And thanks to our loser of SPH and Mediacorp, his contributions are gone unawares by many Singaporeans. Thank god for Facebook, theonlinecitizen, temasekreview and yahoo news! You make Singaporeans so much cleverer than the teachers in Singapore will! It's a great thing to vote. |
