Went to Chinatown today. Its been quite sometime since I went there for sightseeing, and to be honest I always thought that Chinatown is mostly made up of shops selling their "authentic" chinoiserie. I remembered during secondary school we did some project on old folks in Chinatown. The memory was rather blur, and I only remembered going to some one-room flats, and we (well not really, since I couldn't speak cantonese). I always thought that the old people in Chinatown were a bit different from the other old people in Singapore. How to say, they had this kind of attitude, more independent, more cheerful and sociable.
And so I wandered into this corner that resembled a gambling den. That place was filled with uncle, and really like exclusively for ah peks. When I went in (at least this time I was with a friend) I felt that I was intruding, and some uncles looked at us with a slight expression of distaste and curiosity, but soon turned away. I think its because of our big cameras the sound of the shutters going off. But other than that, we really were like little houseflies to them la, and that was good because I could take photos of them! =)
Yah, it might not be clear from here but the whole place is really filled with ah peks.

Uhuhuhuhuhuhu our fish died yesterday. He's really huge, like as long as my feet and we've had him around for a couple of years already, and after my mum changed water a few hours later he was floating on his belly. I don't like fishes other than having them for food, but now that he's dead it feels weird not hearing him splash in fright whenever I pass by him. =(
Missed class today because the force of inertia was on me. So tired, so sleepy.
