Justin suggested we take the train towards the Marina Bay side so we could sit down, and there I asked him about his attachment in Xiamen, and he showed me his photos, which really got feel ah. He say he got buy book for me! Hahaha thanks ah. Premy was beside me playing with my phone and listening to her ipod. So rude sia. It was suddenly when this auntie (I SWEAR she's not local, but I won't tell you what country I suspect she's from in case some I get sued) came up in between Premy and me, pushed in between of us, and sat down. I was like EH?! while Premy was like WTF lor ahahahahaahaha. Really very funny. The feeling really surreal leh, someone so rudely pushing in between you and your friend's and sitting down with her back facing us. I thought this would never happen in Singapore, but uh lets just say we're a metropolitan city, maybe that's why. Well I did cross my legs and turned my body another side for her to sit though. Well a lot of people were looking at us, and there was this auntie who said "習慣就好。" Hahahahah.
Well of course my other friends were making quite a big issue out of this, clearly saying bad things about her openly (and even taking photos). Justin even say post onto STOMP, omg no way man. So sua gu. Small small thing only don't have to make a mountain out of a mole hill ma. But anyway, this is the (very thick-skinned) auntie.
Well you may think I'm a bitch for not giving up the seat to an "elderly". =)
Its interesting though. A bit of a "culture shock" . Well I'm not sure if the people in her country do that all the time, but I really felt more intrigued and tickled rather than pissed off. My friend called whatever country they came from as uncivilised, but really ah, what's being civilised? Theoretically speaking, we singaporeans follow the western way of thinking and manners, so it is as if as long as we follow what the westerners do, we're considered as civilised. Weird eh. Are all niceties and good manners answers to being civilised? Of course killing people once you see them is totally out of the question, but uh, well anyway, who really cares.

First day of attachment Monday, May 26, 2008 @ 10:41 PM So very tiring. Mentally. I had to rush out stuff for the company's client. Everyone was rushing, and my com was acting up all the time and I couldn't save this and that and it repeatedly hanged. The people there still helped me though. And I felt very embarrassed for giving them trouble. My shoulders are all stiff now. Need some exercise.

I CAN'T BELIEVE FYPJ IS OVER! To think that I had fun throughout the three months. I'm so going to miss the whole FYP batch! =(

Urgh I look weird.
Well I finished my FYPJ on thursday with a presentation, and our group couldn't get to present our whole website to the lecturers. Hope we'll get good grades though, I really did my best in this project, which is saying something because I don't care about schoolwork that much. But I remember I was worried and very tired and my feet hurt from wearing heels on thursday.

Tan Li Fang wanted to act as though she was "out of the picture", and we were all supposed to be smiling happily without knowing the presence of the "Sadako" behind us. In the end it looked only as though Tan Li Fang has her back turned at us. -_-
Friday saw me going for lunch with two lecturers, Yunyu, Eugene and Ivan at Ben & Jerry's on Dempsey Hill. The place was really nice with a really great ambience. Very nice for a date, very nice food too. =) Here's the only (decent) picture I've captured there. Its a bit hard to get there by bus though (We got there by our lecturer's car).
Really very nice place, complete with a fake fireplace. =)
After the late lunch I checked out my attachment company, which is at LAVENDER. So far. T.T Well a course mate of mine was finishing her attachment there, so she agreed to meet me at Lavender MRT at first, but she couldn't get to finish her work at 6.30, so she gave me directions to the place. I am someone with a horrible sense of direction, this was the direction she gave me:
I: "Hello Jasyln ^^'' I'm now at Hong Wen primary school, how do I proceed?"
Jasyln: "You just go to the traffic light, and the place where there's a lot of cars VROOM by one!"
I: "???!! Oh okay! ^^ A lot of cars vroom by one ah, ahahahaha! There's a mosque there right?"
Jasyln: "Yah, near there. Turn left, then you'll see a foodcourt called XXX(I forgot the name) kitchen!"
I: "Okay...turn left right?"
Jaslyn: "Yah. =)"
I: "Thanks ah, and sorry ah!"
Jasyln: "Its okay! ^^ Bye bye!"
And there I went going round and round until Jasyln called again. THEN MY BATTERY DIED COMPLETELY! But I continued to go round and round and round for the next forty minutes until I decided to go find public phones. My god it was so hard to find one man. I don't have a phonecard and the only coin one I found wasn't working. -__-
So I decided to go back to the MRT station, thinking that there would be a coin one there. If there isn't, I'll go back and ask Jaslyn the directions on MSN. I was so relieved when I found one, and good thing I took note of her number before my battery died because I knew such a thing would happen.
And so I met Jaslyn in front of Hong Wen school. The boss came too. I was surprised that he was so young. The two of them then led me to the company. When we reached there, there were two more workers at the front door. The boss told me that they were waiting for me. O.O!!! Oh my god so pai seh. First impression I had to let them wait already orz
But anyway, the environment was nice enough. Its interior was nice, modern yet kind of cosy. TOMORROW IS MY FIRST DAY! I HOPE I DON'T DO ANYTHING WRONG WITHIN THIS THREE MONTHS! m(-__-)m *prays to god*

Do you see the dancer turning clockwise or anti-clockwise? I don't really know whether this is accurate or not, but...
THE Right Brain vs Left Brain test ... do you see the dancer turning clockwise or anti-clockwise?If clockwise, then you use more of the right side of the brain and vice versa.
Most of us would see the dancer turning anti-clockwise though you can try to focus and change the direction; see if you can do it.

Duh! The first thing I saw was an anti-clockwise, but after looking at it for sometime I just saw it going clockwise and anti-clockwise and clockwise and so on and so forth. So which one is my more dominant brain? Ah I'm a lefty though...I wonder if it makes me more right brained...If you're interested in getting details about this, read here. I'm having a headache and my eyes hurt, so I won't be bothered to find out.
Anyway I'll be having my attachment next week. I don't feel comfortable confiding details onto a blog, so ya. =/
T_T Monday, May 19, 2008 @ 8:23 PM I think I shouldn't pluck my eyebrows anymore. I've been down on my luck recently. Bad things just after another. -_- Lets take today, whereby my student dropped me, saying that she wants to study on her own. I think I haven't been a very good teacher orz I'm kind of glad that I now have weekends off, but now I don't have a source of income already and I really wonder if I've been really that bad a teacher. I wonder what would come next? Find out that I've got attached to the worse design company ever in Singapore tomorrow? Shucks.
Anywayyyy people who know me well know my hobby is to run away from reality, so here's something I'd like to recommend you to watch if you want to run away from reality too.
The one on top is Shikaotoko Aoniyoshi, available on veoh.com. Its about an uptight guy who meets a
talking deer to ask him to save Japan. I'm at episode 3, and there's lots of kendo footage as well. =)
The other one is called "Rookies" also available on veoh.com. Its about a group of delinquent baseball players who overcome odds and prejudices against them. If you liked Gokusen, you'll like this even better! Well basically the teacher in here is better than Yankumi la.

Waaa...in the recent spate of disasters and watching the news show footage of people crying over their dead family members has affected me so much that I really felt like taking a plane right over and help those people still trapped under buildings. Damn sad ah, I see already also want to cry. We always complain about life in Singapore, weather too hot, this and that and everything from service to stress. After watching the news though, I felt lucky that I was watching the news at 8 am in the morning and eating my breakfast preparing to go school for FYPJ later.
Ah anyway, brought this book at Kinokuniya today because they're having this 20% off sale and it looks interesting. There were tons of books that I wanted to buy but I knew that I wouldn't have the time to read them. =( So now I resort to buying short novels. This book talks about an otaku's life, and it was this sentence "Do we work to live, or do we live to work?", that attracted me to buying it. I wish that after graduation, I can work at somewhere I can enjoy, even if the pay might be low. Call me impractical, but I'm extremely bad at handling office politics.
A few days ago, a friend of mine shared with me his philosophy of friendship. It was rather weird, but interesting nonetheless. He told me friendship is like soap and sponge. One is usually the giver, while the other the receiver. He complained that he needed more "soapy" people around him as he's always hanging around with a bunch of "sponges", and he's opening himself to meeting new people.
I've always been a person who believed in all these fate and whom you are destined to meet in your life, so I don't really go out and purposely meet friends through clubbing or hobby groups because I think that people who go clubbing to meet people are just horny people who have no underwear under their pants and overzealous people in hobby groups (I've seen them and totally cannot get along with them).
Anyway, do you think you're a soap or sponge? I think I'm more of a soap in a past, but I think I'm quite balanced now. I give and take. At least that's what I think.

I'm now blogging from my FYPJ room, doing my storyboard (next week's the deadline >.<)
Here's what my FYPJ workspace looks like, nice eh. Its like my favourite place ever, with such a super powerful computer that I have to bring my laptop to school everyday.
I wouldn't really have started a blog if not for the many blogs of my friends that I've read. It seems quite nice when you're older and then you look back and say "Ah, I remember that," or "Wa, that was silly of me," something like that.
I'm so going to change the blogskin though, so orbiang leh. Anyway I took like 4 hours to make this post, because I really dunno what to say and so I left the window there and just typing whatever I felt like over the past few hours. Weird way of ending my post, laters.
