Christmas! Saturday, December 25, 2010 @ 9:46 PM
I've spent most of my Christmas sleeping. It'll be a waste not to sleep, with the rain and super shiok weather and my bed that begs me to sleep in (plus the sleepless night before at Liying's house), who cares about the Christmas dinner really... =D Monday, December 20, 2010 @ 2:11 AM And once again I rediscover the joys of reading! For a few months now I've been reading mystery and crime fiction, more Sherlock Holmes than CSI as it is so much more fascinating when the detective cracks the case with virtually almost nothing except for his wits. I've been watching the Murdoch Mysteries too, the show is so, so good! On a sad note though, school will be reopening soon, and I won't be able to enjoy my sleuthing as much as I'll be able to for now. :( Ready to move on. Sunday, December 12, 2010 @ 12:34 AM YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS Such drama. Sunday, December 5, 2010 @ 12:56 AM Back from camp yesterday. Slept like a pig once my head hit the pillows. I boasted about scaring the kids, and guess what, in the end they were the ones scaring me. It all started with the sec 3 people creating havoc at night, not sleeping, causing a ruckus which included playing water bombs, girls slipping into the boy's dormitory, loud music from laptops and ordering Mcdonald's at night. All these happened on the first night, and I wasn't around as I had yoga and went home to sleep. I must say I was truly disappointed when I found out all these nonsense (and I thought I had the better batch of students). We rounded them together, and started a nagging session on the second night. I surprised myself because I didn't raise my voice at all. My teacher and I decided to dismiss a girl who started the Macdonald's order and while I know she was sort of the scapegoat and she wasn't the only one at fault because 18 others ordered as well. The aunt had a part to play in this, smuggling the food in and paying for them. -_- Anyway, this teacher of mine, I thought she verbally attacked the girl in a way I thought was a little personal. This girl is big sized so when she dropped the "still not thin enough?" bomb on her I cringed mentally. Anyway her uncle was supposed to pick her up from school but she slipped away (negligence on my part also), and it didn't take too long for us to know that we're in deep trouble. She refused to pick up her phone, refused to go back home or school. Her aunt called, threatened to sue us, and my teacher wasn't exactly that nice when she picked up her phone call too. Anyway all I could think of was to locate her first, and so I ran out of school and started searching for her (which was really stupid but I was rather desperate at that time). I kept running back from school and MRT station, and kept spamming the girl with phone calls and smses, the effort paid off, and she smsed me back, asking me not to find her. (-____-) How irresponsible. Once I got her sms, I called my teacher and asked her to leave the rest to me. Now that I think back it feels like I'm cleaning up after her but ok it wasn't that bad because I felt the problem might aggravate if I get my teacher to handle it because she was er, rather emotionally charged. Anyway, and student and I waited for her for about one and a half hours outside of school in hope that she will tell me her whereabouts and in the meantime profusely apologising to the aunt (which was not really that heart felt because I was indignant with the fact that she was one of the main culprits of the mcdonald's incident -_-, but swallow pride and say sorry lor..). Another thing happened while we were waiting. We saw three people fighting, and I was rather torn between calling the police or not, and since there's a police post nearby, I decided to go there, and funny thing was, IT WAS CLOSED! By the time I noticed this girl was already shoving the guy in attempt to prevent him from fighting with another. I called 999 and in no time the police came and arrested one of the guy. After this episode I continued to wait with my student, who was really sweet because he insisted on accompanying me throughout the whole waiting session, despite multiple urges from me to get him to go back to school and sleep (it was already 11 plus). During that time my contact with the girl was limited to smses, as whenever I attempted to call her she'll cut the line. Unexpectedly after 90 minutes of waiting I got a phone call from her home and using the age old method of cooing like a worried mother (OHHH where have you been? You got me worried sick! We do care about you so don't do silly things like that ok?) she broke down and did the Niagara falls (as quoted by my teacher) thing over the phone and claimed she didn't mean to cause so much trouble bla bla. So to my immense relief that she didn't do something stupid like committing suicide, I got back to school, and guess what, I didn't sleep a wink that night. I then decided with my teacher not to have a camp with sleepovers anymore. -____________________- |
