Ah how incredibly old I feel. It seemed only yesterday when I welcomed the year 2000 with a sense sense of trepidation that the world was coming to an end with the whatever Y2K virus whatsits.

Anyway I have no plans of making a new year resolution list. I know I would never stick to it. I always think that people make resolutions because they are motivated by the feel of a "new beginning".  I'd rather take life as walk one step, see the step after. I am not that optimistic about this year though, not with all the "difficult-year-ahead" headlines on yahoo that greets me everyday when I open my safari browser. But I suppose I'll take this year easy. I want to slack and travel as much as possible, spend more time with my family, because I've been neglecting them for school.

Spent the last few moments of 2008 at Li Ying's house with the 10th batch, and we all had dinner together. Like reunion dinner some more. After dinner I spent a full two hours in front of the tv. ^^'' I like the YUMMM SENNGGG part best, ahahahahaha. I'm a big sucker for loud celebrations. Next time put fireworks la ah.

Who took this picture one ah? Why take that baddie leh, at least wait Little Stone to appear then take ma...

LOLLLL NOT I TAKE ONE!! But next time take portrait format! The hand kena cut off liao!

Both of them so engrossed in their phones yesterday la!

Dinner. =)

Anyways I left early because I needed sleep to do my project today! I left at around 12.15 am, and to be honest I seemed to expect that there would be some kind of celebration below Li Ying's house. It was so so quiet, so quiet you'd thought it was just a ordinary day. There were a few people, their strides hurried, faces down and rather gloomy. You'd never guess it was the first day of a new year.

What was I expecting anyway? A shower of shooting stars to fall from the sky? Or perhaps the sky to light up with fireworks? I remember feeling sorry for the control station staff, with their bored looks in a nearly deserted mrt station. I was pretty surprised when I saw the news that their were 250 thousand people who turned up for the celebration, for it was so quiet just now.

But anyway it was nice, welcoming the new year with them.
